Egg Harbor Township High School played the role of giant-killer on Saturday, knocking off a pair of top ranked teams to capture the inaugural Bill Campbell Baseball Classic at Eastern.
The Eagles dispatched Holy Cross, ranked No. 13 in the Courier Post Top 15, 10-3 in an opening round game, before stunning No. 2 Eastern 6-5 in the title game.
Todd Henry went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and five RBIs while Andrew Holmes, J.J. Swentkowski and Mike Lahoud combined for nine hits, four runs scored and three RBIs in the win over Holy Cross.
The Eagles upset the Vikings when sophomore Connor Agostino belted a two-out, bases clearing double in the bottom of the seventh inning. Mike Lahoud, who went 2-for-4, crossed the plate with the winning run.
