The Egg Harbor Township High School baseball team came away from the Tom Keinkel Tournament at Bishop Eustace with a big win Saturday.
The Eagles (5-2) rallied to scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat Malvern Prep 7-6. It was a nice consolation after losing 13-0 earlier in the day to the host, Bishop Eustace.
Andrew Holmes went 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs and three RBIs, including a two run single in the eighth.
With the game tied 2-2 heading into extra innings, Malvern (10-4) took the lead when a batter was hit with the bases loaded. They tacked on three more runs to go up 6-2.
EHT started off the inning by reaching on an error. With one out, Malvern's Shane Muntz walked the bases loaded and walked in a run to make it 6-3.
Holmes followed with a two-run single to make it 6-5. Muntz walked two more batters to load the bases and force in the game-tying run before Nick Pera's single won the game for the Eagles.
Brandon Riggs pitched 4 innings of relief for EHT to earn the win.

Monny Strickland doubled for the Eagles.
Bishop Eustace's Mike Krusinski hit a triple and three home runs, driving in nine runs. His grand slam in the sixth ended the game for the No. 1 team in The Press Elite 11.
